Efficient land preparation starts with the right equipment and experienced operators. At EMC Group, our skid steer services are designed to clear land quickly, safely, and cost-effectively—without unnecessary disruption to your property.
We offer forestry mulching, land clearing, and stump grinding services for residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. Using modern skid steer attachments, we can remove brush, small trees, undergrowth, and stumps while minimizing soil disturbance and avoiding the need for burning or hauling debris offsite.

Forestry mulching is ideal for clearing overgrown land, fence lines, hunting property, and future building sites. Vegetation is ground into mulch and left in place, helping control erosion and return organic material to the soil. We use the MH60D mulching head paired with the John Deere 333G and it works as an exceptionally effective mulching package because the machine and attachment are matched for power, hydraulics, and durability. The 333G delivers the high hydraulic flow, torque, and stability the MH60D needs to process brush and small trees efficiently, even in dense or uneven terrain. This combination allows vegetation to be converted into fine mulch in fewer passes, with better control and less operator fatigue. The result is faster production, cleaner finishes, reduced downtime, and a mulching setup that performs consistently on everything from fence lines to full property clearing.

Land clearing services are suited for larger projects that require opening up acreage for construction, access roads, utilities, or future development. EMC Group deploys the right combination of equipment for each phase of the work, including skid steers for precision clearing in tight or restricted areas, dozers for mass clearing and grading, and excavators for handling stumps, root balls, trenching, and drainage work. Dump trucks support efficient material removal or relocation, keeping sites clean and projects moving without delays. This integrated approach allows us to scale from small, detail-oriented clearing to full-site preparation while maintaining control, efficiency, and predictable results across a wide range of property and terrain conditions.

Stump grinding removes unsightly and hazardous stumps efficiently, helping prepare areas for grading, landscaping, or construction while preventing future regrowth and pest issues. We do use an SS30 stump shredder an it offers clear advantages over traditional stump grinders by chewing through stumps and root flares rather than cutting in shallow passes, allowing faster removal with less repositioning. Unlike wheel grinders that require precise tracking and multiple sweeps, the SS30’s vertical cutting drum tears and pulverizes wood and surface roots in a single working zone, making it more effective on irregular, oversized, or partially buried stumps. It also handles dirt, rocks, and root balls with less risk of damage, reduces flying debris, and leaves a more evenly blended mulch that’s easier to grade or backfill. For skid steer operations, this translates to quicker production, better control, and cleaner results, especially in rough or undeveloped terrain.
EMC Group provides skid steer services across Northeast Mississippi and Northwest Alabama, supporting property owners, developers, and contractors who need reliable site work done right the first time.
If you’re preparing land for a project or reclaiming overgrown property, EMC Group delivers practical solutions backed by experience, equipment, and clear communication.
